Where are the cottages?
They are situated a few hundred yards, (and therefore within easy walking
distance), from the quaint peaceful rural village of Kilmore.
Kilmore has 2 pubs, a
chemist, church and post office/grocery/newsagent. It is also very close to
the pubs, superb fish restaurants and Marina at nearby
Kilmore Quay, (5 km or 3
miles).

Where is the
nearest shop / pub / restaurant / town?
Cottages are walking distance of the 2 pubs, the chemist and post
office/grocery/newsagent in Kilmore village. The nearest restaurants are
just 3 miles away in picturesque Kilmore Quay. The nearest town is
Wexford, some 20km (or 12 miles) away.

Are cottages close to the beach?
Yes, there are 2 beaches, Ballyhealy & Seaview
at the end of the road on
which the cottages are located, about 2km (or 1.5 miles) away. From here
you can walk to Kilmore Quay, Tacumshane Lake bird sanctuary or Carnesore
Point at the very South East corner of Ireland, (fitness and tides
permitting!)

Is there a swimming pool nearby?
Yes, there are 2 leisure centres which accept non-members: Kelly's Resort
Hotel (Rosslare Strand), or Great Southern Hotel (Rosslare Harbour), both
about 17km (or 10 miles) away. Ferrybank Public Pool, is in Wexford town
some 20km (or 12 miles) away.

How / when do I pay?
There is a one third booking deposit, which is non-refundable. The balance
of the holiday cost is payable 6 weeks in advance of arrival. A refundable
damage deposit of €100 is payable in cash upon arrival. You can pay by
Euro cheque, bank, transfer, Euro draft or credit card. It is
strongly recommended that guests take out holiday insurance upon booking
to cover the possibility of cancellation charges.

Can I book for next year?
Yes, and it is advisable to book early for the week of your choice. Most
bookings are made for Summer months at Christmas time and in January and
February. Some people book a whole year in advance and we can "pencil" you
in at that stage. We then take the booking deposits around Christmas time
for the following Summer.

Do you take credit cards?
Yes, Visa or MasterCard. For your own security, never give your credit
card details in an email. Instead, phone Helen Cousins at + 353 (0)53

Do the cottages have gardens?
Yes, each cottage has a front & back garden, with plenty of space to relax
on the patio, sunbathe or play ball games such as football, hurling or
cricket!

Is there private car parking?
Yes, there is plenty of room to park cars in the grounds of each cottage.
We have even accommodated lorries in the past and a large boat on a
trailer!

Do the cottages have a
TV, DVD player and video?
Yes, each cottage has TV, DVD player and video recorder. Nine terrestrial
television stations are received.

What electrical appliances are in the cottages?
Each cottage has a dishwasher, microwave, fridge, electric hob and oven,
washing machine, dryer, small chest freezer, TV, DVD player, video, radio/cassette/CD
player, iron, hairdryer and solid fuel effect stove.

What's included in the rental price?
We include: *Linen: *Towels: & *Consumables ~ (washing up liquid;
dishwasher tablets; washing detergent; toilet rolls; kitchen towels; other
cleaning materials).
We supply maps and a local information pack, including a complimentary ticket to
Johnstown Castle Gardens that are large & very scenic, with picnic area &
lakeside walks (some of which are on tarmacadem paths). There is also a

How do I find the cottages?
We will send you a confirmation letter with written directions and a map
upon receipt of your booking deposit. You can also download the
directions and map
direct from the website, using Adobe Acrobat reader.

How do I find local information?
The cottages are owner-managed by John & Helen Cousins, and we live across
the road from the cottages. We are always on hand to help our guests, and
keep you informed of any local events that coincide with your holiday. In
addition, each cottage has maps and a local information pack. See also

What heating system do you have?
The cottages have thermostatically controlled oil-fired central heating,
incorporating a time clock. This can also heat your water.

How do I pay for heating and electricity?
There are meters on the oil tanks and we take oil meter readings at the
start and end of your holiday and charge you for your usage on departure
day. There are coin meters to control the electricity supply, (taking €2
coins), so you pay as you go for this. Rates

Can I rent for long periods?
Yes, we do special rates for periods of a month or more, off-season.
Kilmore is a great place to write that book!

Can I have friends or relatives to stay?
Yes, you are welcome to have guests, provided that the total number of
people strictly does not exceed: Kilmore Cottage 6 + baby; Teach Eile/
Teach a
Trí
; 5 + baby. You must specify the size
of your party, (including any guests), upon booking. You must inform us if
there is later a change in the size of your party.

What are the arrival and departure times?
Arrival time is 4p.m. for both cottages and departure times are: Kilmore Cottage 11 a.m.;
Teach Eile/ Teach a

; 10a.m.
In the event that you are
unable to arrive or depart at the specified times, please seek approval
from the management, who will endeavour to accommodate you.
We do need you to arrange irregular arrival or departure times in advance
and you should notify us immediately of any changes to your travel
plans or delays encountered. We ask that you telephone or email a few days
in advance of arrival to confirm your expected arrival time. See also

Are children welcome?
Children are gladly welcomed. We have a cot & high chair available, and
stair gates (top & bottom) for Kilmore Cottage, if needed. We've put some
books, games & videos in the cottages to make children feel welcome. Child
guests may like to visit the farm and we will happily arrange that for you.
Just ask on arrival.

cottages accessible to wheelchair users?
Yes. Both Kilmore
Cottage & Teach Eile
have been approved by the Irish Tourist Board as being suitable for some
wheelchair users.
