Kilmore is a great centre for bird watcher’s with the picturesque lakes at Tacumshane (or Tacumshin) and Our Lady’s Island, the Saltee Islands and the North Slob all breeding grounds for a vast array of birds including gannets, cormorants, black shags, puffins, swans and white –fronted geese and more.
