Walking
| There are plenty of walks locally for all abilities, from long beach walks stretching from Kilmore to Carne, to rough terrain over Ballyteigue burrow. You could take a pleasant stroll through Kilmore Quay, perhaps a garden walk at Johnstown Castle gardens or for stunning lakeside views try a walk around Our Lady's Island or Tacumshane lake.
